Sunny was imported from the the Williwaw kennels (Al & Mary-Jane Holabach) in the PNW of the USA to Finland by Jari in 1989. This little red bundle of
fluff instantly won the hearts & minds of all who met him. He had a distinguished show career, worked hard on the trail and was used several times both by Samaljankan and other Nordic
kennels as a stud dog, producing some lovely babies in a variety of colours, ranging from red through sable, grey to seal. He is, to a large extent, responsible for adding the range of
colours that we see in our breeding program today. Astra, Siru and Keema are all his daughters and all have inherited
his loving personality. Sunny was beautiful, kind, loving and a true gentleman. He suddenly developed an acute anaemic crisis at the age of 10 years, in the August of 2000, after making the
big trip back across the water to Canada, and we were unable to save him. He is sadly missed by all here at Nyrakym/Samaljankan kennels and he had a big impact on all our lives.
Show wins included a BIS 4th , Veteran BIS 1st, several group wins and numerous group placements and BOB wins.
