Tarka was Karyn's second Malamute and was bought with breeding in mind as a possible outcome if Tarka turned out to be good enough. Unfortunately she was very rangy as an adult and was
never bred. She had good hips and clear eyes but developed a severe immune-related skin problem at 6 years of age.
Tarka did reasonably well at shows, several times she won BOS to
Woolaf's BOB wins at championship shows, and she also won Best Bitch at the UK Malamute Club's annual show the same year Woolaf won BIS - that was a nice win.
